Robert Silkey was a speaker at American Institute of Architects (AIA) contracts seminar
Attorney Robert F. Silkey recently spoke at an AIA Contracts seminar held in Syracuse. Mr. Silkey discussed owner-contract agreements as well as the components involved in construction contracts. The one-day seminar was designed for attorneys, presidents, project managers, architects, engineers and others involved in the construction industry.
Mr. Silkey is a member of Menter, Rudin & Trivelpiece, P.C.’s Construction Law practice group. He handles various matters within the construction industry including mechanic’s liens, construction litigation, arbitration and mediation, lien law trusts, prime contract negotiations, subcontracts, purchase orders and negotiations among owners, developers, and financial institutions.
Mr. Silkey is also a member of the Labor Relations and Employment Law practice group. He has represented management in matters involving OSHA, New York State, the United States Department of Labor and the National Labor Relations Board. He has counseled management in employment law as well as in the negotiation of collective bargaining agreements.
