Robert Silkey was a speaker at the Empire State Chapter of the Associated Builders & Contractors of America

Attorney Robert F. Silkey recently spoke at a seminar sponsored by the Empire State Chapter of the Associated Builders & Contractors of America in East Syracuse.  The seminar featured discussions on prevailing wage compliance issues, Worker Notification Act and the OSHA 10 Hour Law and how contractors can comply with the regulations.  Mr. Silkey advised members on worker classification in relation to independent contractors. 

Mr. Silkey is a member of Menter, Rudin & Trivelpiece, P.C.’s Construction Law practice group. He handles various matters within the construction industry including mechanic’s liens, construction litigation, arbitration and mediation, lien law trusts, prime contract negotiations, subcontracts, purchase orders and negotiations among owners, developers, and financial institutions.

Mr. Silkey is also a member of the Labor Relations and Employment Law practice group. He has represented management in matters involving OSHA, New York State, the United States Department of Labor and the National Labor Relations Board. He has counseled management in employment law as well as in the negotiation of collective bargaining agreements.
