Kevin M. Newman was a speaker at the annual International Council of Shopping Centers Law Conference
Kevin M. Newman spoke on the topic of The Sale of Leases and Lease Designation Rights in Bankruptcy at the International Council of Shopping Centers Law Conference which was held in January, 2008 in San Diego. This was a two day conference attended by legal professionals of shopping center developers, retailers and law firms throughout the country.
Mr. Newman is a member of the firm’s Business Restructuring and Bankruptcy practice group, Creditors' Rights practice group and the Real Estate practice group. He specializes in representing creditors, including real estate developers, banks, and other businesses in bankruptcy cases. In almost every major retail bankruptcy filed in the region in the past 20 years, Mr. Newman has represented commercial real estate developers. He also represents developers and businesses in all aspects of lease negotiations and lease preparation.
Mr. Newman has been a frequent lecturer and contributing writer for seminars and conferences sponsored by the New York State Bar Association, International Council of Shopping Centers and the Oneida and Onondaga County Bar Associations. He has also served as president of the Central New York Bankruptcy Association.
