Julian B. Modesti was a panelist at the New York State Bar Association's (NYSBA) CLE program entitled "A View From the Bench", in Rochester on May 16, 2007. In addition to the attorney panelists, all of the Justices of the Appellate Division, Fourth Department were present at this event to share their perspective on effective brief writing and oral argument for appeals.
Mr. Modesti is a member of the firm's Litigation and Environmental Law practice groups. Experienced in both state and federal courts, his commercial litigation practice includes the representation of individuals, partnerships and corporations in disputes involving contracts, unfair competition, trade secrets and professional malpractice, among other areas. As head of the firm's appellate practice, Mr. Modesti also handles appeals in both state and federal courts on a wide variety of civil law issues. He is also a certified arbitrator and mediator.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Modesti worked as an environmental consultant in Philadelphia. He has lectured at New York State Bar Association seminars regarding environmental law issues as well as appeals.
