Josephine Yang-Patyi was a presenter at a recent seminar entitled "Managing Your Nursing Home Receivables - Everything You Need to Know" held in Syracuse. Ms. Yang-Patyi provided helpful information on combating "asset protection planning" or commonly accepted Medicaid planning methods through proper record keeping, specific contract provisions and available legal actions in different forums.
Ms. Yang-Patyi is a member of the firm's Litigation and Business Restructuring and Bankrutpcy practice groups. She regularly handles litigation in cases involving creditors' rights, fraudulent conveyance, estate administration, contract disputes and employment discrimination. She has successfully conducted non-jury trials in state courts, bankruptcy courts and in hearings before administrative agencies.
