Robert F. Silkey named as Evaluator for Fifth Judicial District of New York State
Robert F. Silkey has been appointed and placed on the roster of neutral evaluators for the Fifth Judicial District of New York State. In such capacity, Mr. Silkey will be available to meet with litigants and their attorneys, in a confidential and non-binding mediation process, to evaluate the case and provide an opinion of possible outcomes.
Mr. Silkey is a member of the firm’s Construction Law practice group. He handles various matters within the construction industry including claims, mechanic’s liens, construction litigation, arbitration and mediation, lien law trusts, prime contract negotiations, subcontracts, purchase orders and negotiations among owners, developers, and financial institutions.
Mr. Silkey is also a member of the Labor Relations and Employment Law practice group. He has represented management in matters involving OSHA, New York State, Department of Labor, the United States Department of Labor and the National Labor Relations Board. He has counseled management in employment law and labor relations law including in the negotiation of collective bargaining agreements, project labor agreements, grievances and multi-employer bargaining groups.
