F. Paul Vellano, Jr. elected to Board of Directors of Risk Management Association
F. Paul Vellano, Jr. has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Empire Chapter of the Risk Management Association (RMA). RMA is a not-for profit organization which provides continuous improvement in the principles and practices of commercial lending by banks which is accomplished by lectures, seminars and general informational meetings. Membership is largely made up of banking institutions of all sizes as well as nonbank financial institutions. Mr. Vellano is a member as he provides legal services related to risk management to various financial institutions.
Mr. Vellano is a member of the firm’s Board of Directors and serves as Secretary and Treasurer of the firm. He also manages the Banking Law and Commercial Transactions practice groups. Mr. Vellano’s banking practice includes commercial loan closings, loan documentation and restructuring, property purchase and sale, bank branch formation and general regulatory and compliance issues.
A frequent lecturer before numerous banking groups and the National Business Institute, Mr. Vellano has presented topics including loan and deposit documentation, loan closings and structuring, loan workouts, lender liability planning and collection methods and strategies. He is a co-author of “Enforcing Judgments and Collecting Debts in New York.”
