Mr. Fucillo leads the firm's Environmental Law practice group, relying on more than 22 years of broad-based experience as a regulator and in private practice.  In that capacity, he advises clients on a full range of environmental regulatory issues and litigates environmental disputes in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies. Mr. Fucillo's environmental practice includes extensive counseling and litigation concerning the State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA), CERCLA and the New York State Navigation Law, among other areas.  He is also Special SEQRA Counsel to several municipal corporations and represents developers and other private clients and litigants with respect to SEQRA,  municipal land use and "right to build" issues.  Mr. Fucillo also ably assists the firm's Personal Injury practice group, relying upon his extensive litigation experience to try cases to verdict, obtain favorable settlements for the firm's clients, or develop strategy with colleagues in the group. 

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Fucillo was the Regional Attorney in Region 7 of the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, responsible for environmental enforcement and legal affairs in a nine county Region in Central New York.  Before that, he was Assistant Regional Attorney in NYSDEC Region 6.  He began his legal career in the United States Navy JAG Corps, first as a trial attorney on active duty at Naval Air Station, Brunswick Maine, and later in the Naval Reserve, as a member of the unit assigned to the Navy's International Law Division. 

Mr. Fucillo co-authored an article in the Matthew Bender publication, Environmental Law in New York, entitled, “Petroleum Discharges and the New York State Navigation Law,” and has lectured at New York State Bar Association CLE presentations.
